In his exhibition Das Rote Wien (Red Vienna) Alfredo Jaar deals with the socio-political and urban developments in the city of Vienna in the interwar period. The seemingly utopian achievements in the field of social housing are the focus of the monumental, 35-part photographic series by the artist, who was born in Santiago de Chile in 1956 and lives in New York.
