Rebecca Horn / Straßenbahndepot Weimar & Lichthaus Kino, Weimar, Germany
Installation, Discursive Event
The spatial installation “Concert for Buchenwald” by Rebecca Horn has been on display in a historic streetcar depot in the disused E-Werk Weimar since 1999. The internationally acclaimed work is considered one of the most important examples of contemporary art in Germany on the subject of the Holocaust. On Saturday, 7 September, between 5 and 7 pm, the performance evening Concentrare Forte by artists and former students of Rebecca Horn (Jenny Brockmann, Antonio Paucar, Rebecca Raue, Nina Rhode and Yiorgos Sapountzis) will take place at E-Werk Straßenbahndepot Weimar (admission free). On Sunday, 8 September, at 3.30 pm Art & Rememberance, a discursive event will take place. Films by Rebecca Horn will also be shown on both days.
